Glass walls open onto the lawn, the pool and the sea
Villa Adagio is a two-storey villa of about 350 m² on a flat 1,317 m² plot in Sierra Blanca, the gated community on the hillside above Marbella's Golden Mile, with controlled access, cameras and 24-hour patrols. The house stands some six metres above the street, reached through its own private tunnel, with shaded parking for three cars.
Every bedroom, and both floors of living space, looks out over the Mediterranean to Gibraltar and, on clear days, Morocco, with La Concha rising behind. The interiors were furnished by a Marbella interior designer: marble floors, black-and-white stripes and chevrons, navy velvet and patterned ceilings, with a piano in the living room.
Living
A large living room with a glass wall to the pool terrace, a wood-burning fireplace, a piano and a second seating area around the television. The dining room seats eight under a patterned ceiling and opens to the kitchen, which is equipped to cater for up to twelve, with a Neff oven, Samsung fridge, dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso machine, and enough room for a private chef to work. Air conditioning and underfloor heating run throughout the house.
Bedrooms
Four bedrooms for two guests each, every one with its own en-suite bathroom and a view of the sea. On the ground floor, the first master suite has a private dressing room and doors straight onto a small terrace over the garden. Upstairs, three bedrooms, including a second, larger master suite, each open onto the panoramic terrace, where the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and, on a clear day, the coast of Morocco lie in front of you. A guest WC downstairs makes four and a half bathrooms in all.
Outside
A private pool, professionally maintained, sits in a flat garden of lawns, jacaranda and stone pines. Beside the living room is a covered terrace lounge with ceiling heating for cooler evenings, an open Andalusian-style lounge, an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and a dining table for ten to twelve, with a fire pit for after dark. For the daytime there are a ping-pong table, bikes for adults and children, and loungers on the lawn looking down to the sea.

In Sierra Blanca, above Marbella's Golden Mile
The villa is in Sierra Blanca, a gated community on the hillside between the Golden Mile and the mountain of La Concha, with controlled access, cameras and 24-hour patrols. Below it runs the Golden Mile itself: the Marbella Club and Puente Romano are about six or seven minutes' drive, and so are the public beaches at Nagüeles.
Puerto Banús and its marina are ten minutes to the west, Marbella's old town ten minutes to the east, and several golf courses, including Las Brisas, within a quarter of an hour. Málaga airport is about 35 minutes by motorway; Ronda, for a day in the mountains, a little over an hour.
